The problem

You end the day exhausted, and still feel like you got nothing done .

Knowledge workers average just 2.9 deep work sessions per week, while needing 4.2 to feel productive (Reclaim, Deep Work Trends Report 2026). 61% of the workday goes to reactive tasks (meetings, Slack, email), leaving real focus buried in whatever scraps remain (Microsoft WorkLab 2023). The gap between how busy you feel and how much you actually produce is real, measurable, and fixable.

Most days end with 30 to 60 minutes of real focus, buried under everything else.

Adaptive focus, built around your actual energy.

Adaptive sessions, not a rigid 25-minute timer.

The Pomodoro technique was designed in 1980 with a kitchen timer. Flow sessions adapt as you work: they extend when your HRV signals sustained focus, and prompt rest before your energy collapses. Your biology sets the clock, not an arbitrary interval.

Protect focus by removing the right things.

Most productivity tools ask you to add more. Flow identifies which meeting lacks an agenda, which task falls outside your peak window, and what's worth protecting. McKinsey research found deep work practices can unlock up to 800% productivity gains for knowledge workers.

Three steps. Every morning.

  1. Connect your calendar. Watch optional.

Grant Flow access to Google Calendar and, optionally, your Android watch's Health Connect data. HRV never leaves your device. Only anonymised daily summaries (your peak window and recovery score) go to the server when you request a plan.

  2. Flow reads your patterns overnight.

While you sleep, Flow analyses your HRV trend, sleep quality, and tomorrow's calendar. No manual input. By the time you wake up, it already knows when your energy peaks and where the gaps actually are.

  3. Wake up to 2 or 3 ready-made focus blocks.

Your morning brief shows exactly when to focus, on what, and for how long. Tap Start. The session length adapts as you work: longer when you're locked in, shorter when your body signals rest.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is this just another Pomodoro timer?

No. Pomodoro is a fixed 25/5 timer invented in 1980 with a kitchen timer. Flow reads your HRV and sleep, then adapts each session's length to your real-time biology. When you're still locked in at minute 47, Flow extends. When your heart-rate variability drops, Flow nudges you to rest before you burn out.

Which data goes to the cloud, and which stays on my device?

Raw HRV readings and sleep data never leave your device. They're processed locally via Android Health Connect. The only things sent to Flow's servers are anonymised daily summaries: your peak energy window and a recovery score. These are computed on-device first, and only transmitted when you actively request a focus plan. You can delete your account, and every byte of associated data, directly from the app at any time.

Why Android first? What about iOS?

Android gives us access to Health Connect, a standardised biometric data layer across all major watch brands: Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch, Fitbit, and more. That breadth of HRV signal is core to how Flow works. iOS support (Apple Watch + HealthKit) is on the roadmap as a close follow-up after the Android launch.

How does the founding tier pricing work?

Founding-tier members pay $29.99/year. That price is locked for your first 2 subscription years from the date you activate, regardless of any future price increases. The founding tier is only available during pre-launch. Once the app launches publicly, standard pricing applies to new subscribers.

Does Anthropic train on my data?

No. Flow uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate your focus plans. Per Anthropic's API usage policy, data submitted via the API isn't used to train their models. Your focus plan inputs consist only of anonymised calendar availability and aggregate energy scores, never raw health data or personal identifiers.

Do I need a smartwatch? What if I don't have one?

A watch is optional. Calendar access is the only hard requirement. Without a watch, Flow builds your focus plan from calendar patterns and optional manual check-ins (how rested you feel, your energy level). With a Wear OS watch, the plan sharpens over time as Flow learns your actual HRV rhythm. The core experience works either way.

How is this different from Motion or Reclaim?

Motion and Reclaim schedule tasks. Flow coaches the person doing them. They optimise your task list. Flow tells you when you actually have the cognitive capacity to use it.

When does the app launch?

Q3 2026 on Android (Google Play). Waitlist members get 7-day early access before the public launch. We build in public, so progress updates land in your inbox alongside the email course.
